New shows being replaced by more new shows. Ok, THIS is what I wanted to see out of the return of Toonami! New shows with some old ones mixed in. (for now) And especially Samurai 7, which is my favorite. So thank you Toonami for doing this! Hopefully they will include some other older shows like FLCL or, how bout Outlaw Star but, unsensored this time b/c Toonami's now on the late block. Maybe now we can see that hot springs tenrei episode on TV ^_^ And i'm sure we can, it just may be the only ep. needed to be "toned down" to be aired.

At first I wasn't going to watch them but I did break down and watch the OP ceremonies, which were quite good btw. But I had no plans to watch LOTS of events at the time. Now i'm greatful that THAT didn't come to pass! Because at OP ceremonies, how come the americans came out in those outfits? And did they look like cosplsy outfits to you? Yeah right, more like a cosplay idea gone HORRIBLY wrong! lol And what about britian? Their outfits made them look like Takuto from star driver. I had no idea that they prided themselves on wearing white like that to represent their country! And ours, why suits and a tie? You saw the other countries with their ethnic, glamourous, outfits, that were akin to their character so why'd we have to come out in those school uniforms? Have we changed THAT much as a society? But better get of this topic, I could make a blog post just on THAT issue! I saw some of the swimming events. Apparently Michel Phelps is now the most medaled Olympic swimmer ever or something (maybe even just general athlete, if that's the case, please let me know) so congrats to him, even though I dont really care about swimming, except when i'm in the water and dont feel like drowning. !["alt"]("http://eee.aftercon.com/newsite/include/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/teeth_smile.gif") I also saw the women's backstroke, and it made me think of some dirty jokes that I shared with some of you if you follow my twitter and facebook account. And this morning w/ women's diving, i'm starting to feel like Konata's dad from Lucky Star. Saw some Beach Volleyball yesterday and made me think of my uncle who used to do it all the time and between you and me, will probably get into doing it more in the coming months and years. And these olympics, they're the only time where you see both beach AND indoor volleyball on at the same time! And now we move onto the track and field events, the main core of the whole olympics, the original events from the 1st olympics. (I think) And not to put to much out there but how many people's got Tokyo for getting the 2020 Olympics? (which will be decided next year!)

Omg, I just heard about the Dark Knight Rises premire shooting a little while ago! Thats nuts! My condolences to all the victims and their families and my best wishes that they will all be able to make a full recovery. But it also reminds me of the "Akiabara Massacre" back in '08. For those that don't know, *a man hit a crowd with a truck, eventually killing three people and injuring two; he then stabbed at least 12 people using a dagger (initially reported as a survival knife[1]), killing four people and injuring eight.* I hope that this guys' motivations arent the same! But if they are, we Denjin (otaku) need to be strong and not let this incident scare us out of doing what we love doing! I mean, it didn't for the people in Akiabara. Yep, Its Sat. night again, so there's another block to enjoy. Hopefully though, they'll accept our requests to put some older stuff back on! Miss not having the, well, classics at this point like Tenchi Muyo, DBZ, and the like. Though Sailor Moon and Outlaw Star were HEAVILY edited so if they RETURN in that same form, I won't be happy to see THAT back, but otherwise, i'll be happy to see these old... classics? (I cant believe i'm calling them that now. Geez, where has the time gone?) ...return to the airwaves. But like Steve Blum said, it won't happen unless we tune in, so be sure to do so and WRITE to adult swim, here: www.adultswim.com/footer/contact/index.html and request that they do put those shows back on! Heard it's gonna be a scorcher on Wednesday. So just remember to take care, find A/C, and don't overexert yourself when outside! Wouldn't want to see or hear about any dead cosplayers b/c they didn't think that wearing a heavy outfit in 90+ degree heat all day would be a problem. lol Just kidding of course (who has the time to wear a cosplay outfit all day on a weekday anyway?, Now at a con on the otherhand...) but seriously, to cosplayers and noncosplayers alike, please take care.

As you may have already seen, I changed my facebook page to "Cosplay Joe". I made this announcement at the end of my Final Fantasy panel last night at Zenkaikon, and for those of you who were there, you know the mail details. I decided that I won't be doing standup anymore however, I won't be leaving the stage anytime soon. That's because I will be doing anime songs instead! That's right, i'm making the move to singing! This is a decision that I don't make lightly and I will certainly miss doing regular standup. However, I felt that this move would be best for me at this time and chose Zenkaikon in particular to make the announcement because 1, it's near Philly and 2, you guys are so awesome! But like I said, I won't be leaving the stage anytime soon and in fact, I already have a whole lineup of songs written for my new act! The only downside though, is that they're all Christmas songs so my act will be best suited when it's getting near, or shortly after, Christmas. (and yes, "The 12 Days of Anime Christmas" will be included in that act! ^^) I also said this at the end of my panel and I gave a little preview of one of my songs (because we all know that May is the perfect time for Christmas songs, lol) and as a parody, it seemed to go over well. (especially considering my voice was shot at the time) I also debuted that and another song during my standup @ Jaycon last month and that was a big success. It didn't feel so awkward b/c that was a week before Easter, so maybe that'll be another time i'll perform as well. (near easter) (and i'll have to check and see when eater falls next year, b/c I may do it @ Zenkaikon as well.) So that was my "big announcement" I was talking about for Zenkaikon. So now, my name is "Cosplay Joe", singer, cosplayer (duh), panelist. And my other accounts will be up as well, I just have to make the appropriate changes and i'll be having a new website up not too long from now, so you'll still get to see my blogs, convention news, website info, cosplay schedules, and the like! And i'll be having a new page on here to reflect these changes. So thank you all and I wish the best for Uncle Yo, +2 Comedy, the Geek Comedy Tour, and all the others. Those guys can take the geek comedy world and I can take the geek singing world! So see you at a convention near you!

For those who haven't seen Madoka Magica, please do! it's a phenomenally beautiful series, awe inspiring music, and a shocker, considering that the characters are drawn in such a "cute style", that it would be so dark. I'm shocked and snickering at the same time! ^^ But seriously you must see this series.That one theme with vocals is especially inspiring but I can't think of the name right now. (DAMN!!) I dunno of Adult Swim has any plans to air this, but they definitely should! It's now in my top 5 favorite anime (yep, it's that good!) Speaking of which, I decided, "The Sacred Star of Milos" is now my favorite anime movie AND series (combined!) Samurai 7 is my favorite anime with FMA Brotherhood a close second, but the movie is just, wow! To say that it is like a hollywood blockbuster is the understatement of the 21st century! See it, PLEASE!! Ok? Domo arigato! You have my gratitude!

You know, I totally forgot this, but about 2 weeks ago, (either the 12th or 13th probably, b/c that was a weeken, and no I looked that up, believe me, i'm not THAT smart!) was my 11th year anniversary of me becoming an anime fan! It was the 3rd DBZ movie "The Tree of Might" that I saw and I haven't looked back since. I saw DBZ b/c that was the only anime I knew by title at the time, but, BOY would that ever change in the future! And that movie would never be a favorite of mine, but it introduced me to the basics of anime! So for that i'm thankful, though I wished that it would have been Outlaw Star (which I stared seeing just a month later) THAT anime really appealed to me at the time! (and still has a good, notable place in my heart) Well anyways, her's to 11 years of anime and to another very good 11 years of it! Cheers!

Ok, am catching up on HOTD and i'm almost done (will probabl finish it up tomorrow) but wow, I must say, just how much fanservice can you possibly cram into one episode? Seriously, i've seen HENTAI series that have less fanservice than this! In fact, MOST hentai that i've seen has less fanservice than this! Not complaining TOO much but still, wow! I feel like my eyes have been assulted by boobs and upskirt shots and... wait a minute, why the hell am I complaining? This show's frickin awesome! lol But on a serious note, it IS a good insight to how society would react if ANY kind of Apocolypic situation happened. And if you're gonna die tonight, you MIGHT as well get as many boobs and panty shots in as you possibly can, while buying time with automatic weapons, shotguns, and horny, swordwielding high school chics, ok, NOW I understand all this stiff, er I mean stuff, stuff, now I understand all this... oh never mind! I can't pay attention to what i'm writing anyway, I just keep thing of all the boobs, naked chicks and panty shots i've seen!

Saw the end of Star Driver this morning and might I say, I highly recommend this series to the open minded. B/c it's got something for everyone (at least fan service wise) and it's a really good show otherwise as well! A little bit repetitive with the transformation scenes but hey, where HAVEN'T we've seen that before? So check it out and you'll definately get a laugh, and maybe a tear in your eye, no matter what your tastes are! ^^

You know, with this new year, I think that all of us should make ONE new year's resolution. With all the violence and killing going on in the world, and the fact that some people are just flat out going crazy in our own country, I think that all of us should take steps to be nicer people. If you don't like all the violence and are horrified by the beatings and killings going on the the middle east and all the craziness, hatefulness and spitefulness elsewhere, then start being part of the solution yourself. B/c I noticed that some people don't seem to get it. They think that if they're angry and spiteful enough, that it's ok b/c "they're the ones who started it first" therefore it makes it ok, to treat other people like they're rotten pond scum. But this is something that Ghandi said "we must be the change that we wish to see in the world" so if you don't like people being rude douchebags to you, how is being rude and a douchebag back to them gonna make things any better in the long run? It's not, it's just gonna make the world LESS of what you want it to be, not more. And as a Buddhist I can attest to this, if you feel unhappiness in your life, try think about how you've been treating others. If it hasn't been so nice, then try being nicer to people and try to think about all you DO have. And if you give selflessly (meaning, "out of the goodness of your heart") then you will find that it comes back to you in a very powerful way, and you will experience happiness. This was the message that my Sanga gave to me for new years, and it's something that I resolve to do as my new year's resolution. And it's something that you all should consider too, b/c like I said, we could really use some kindness in these very unkind times. Right now, i'm at a party @ my mom's house w/ family and they had Super Smash Brawl on the Wii! So I was showing off my skills to the kids! ^^ See? This stuff has uses outside of group meetings or anime cons! lol

For some reason, I started playing the Fushigi Yuugi ending theme again. It used to be on my IPod, then I deleted it a few years back but then just yesterday, I put it back on after listening to it again. I really liked the song so maybe i'll check out the series again. Plus there may be a few other series that go that way as well! (8:30 PM) ALSO, there's this series called "Otoboku and Even though the series is "Maidens are falling for me, I think i'm falling for Otoboku! It has a really intriguing concept, and just about every kind of fanservice you could imagine, so noone feels left out! I can't wait to see how it ends! If I don't message before then, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Holiday season, regardles of what you celebrate! So, it's a "Merry ChrismaHanaKwanza cause of you" or something. lol
