Havent read the manga just yet. I remember when that came out and thought it looked neat. Then I discovered the movie after listening to Mika Nakashima awhile. From what I saw so far of the film, I thought it was "ok" but I would like to see the whole thing though.

Psh, I used to think that School Days was just a bit disturbing, now its nothing more then a general visual novel with a touch of blood. Don't get me wrong I liked it.

I liked that side of Eureka 7, sort of like...

Rahxephon for a younger generation. And everyone knows, I loved Rahxephon and Evangelion, so any series that is trying to be like them is good in my book, as long as it keeps me entertained.

When I say F-ed up, I mean comparing how things were in the beginning of the series to the end of the series.

Eureka Seven went from Tony Hawk's Underground Skating to Cataclysmic End-of-the-world Sci-Fi Channel Exclusive Movie.

Not saying it was bad, just saying that things got so screwed up from the starting point.

Who said Eureka 7 was screwed up? I was just saying it had cliff hanger endings. I really enjoyed Eureka 7.

If you want screwed up, try School Days TV, I effing hate that series. Yes Paris, I said it lol.

F'ed up? I read about 4 volumes of Eureka 7 and didn't find anything too scarring.. is the manga significantly different from the anime? I enjoyed what I read, it just didn't strike me as something crazy and screwed up.

When I think of F'ed up, I think of Now and Then, Here and There. When a series isn't afraid to kill kids, that's F-ed up.

Yeah, Eureka 7 and FullMetal Alchemist both had the cliff ending torture going on lol.

The first season of Bleach did, as well.

Yeah... there's so many gosh darn cliffhangers in R2... and I'm not gonna lie, it gets all types of f-ed up.

But never as f-ed up as Eureka Seven... no way in hell anything can ever be that messed up.

@ Katheryn: I read Bakuman too! like the second day that Sleepyfans released it, I really enjoyed this one, which is rare for me to like a manga on the first chapter.

Really the only similarity that I find it shares with Death Note is that the main character goes in to philosophical monologues about life and the future of himself. Though less (much less) dramatic~

Speaking of Death Note, I just read the first chapter for Bakuman, the new manga from the creators of Death Note. I like it a lot so far! It's not really anything like Death Note, except that the main character is bored with life.

Well R2, it tends to fade a little bit (The similarities between Death Note and Code Geass, I mean), but yeah, at least you see what I am getting at.

Watching the first season, I felt that the battle of moral values between Zero and Suzaku were similar to Light and L. Zero and Light both believe that you have to break a few rules in order to achieve something greater, while Suzaku and L believe you need to work within the bounds of law. Haven't seen any of R2 yet, so dunno if it's still like that.

But I still find the show amusing lol

4) both play it out like chess

and yeah, marathoning a series is the best way to do it. if not, you'll end up watching half, putting it off for half a year then coming back and saying: "so uhh... I forgot what's going on". sometimes it's the same for RPGs : p

Haha, that's the beauty of summer for me. Rather than having a small amount of free time every day, I have a big chunk of "busy" and another smaller chunk of "free time"
